GOALS/PURPOSE OF SPECIAL CHILD USA
Special Child USA is an affiliate of The Jeffrey Foundation, a California non-profit corporation which was founded in 1972 to serve special needs and at-risk children and their families with recreational, education and therapy programs and services.
Founded in 1998, Special Child USA’s main purpose is to replicate the 35-year-old successful programs of The Jeffrey Foundation throughout the United States.
The major goal of Special Child USA is to create a better quality of life for disabled, at-risk And special-needs youngsters and their families.
The Jeffrey Foundation operates a model center in Los Angeles and currently has one chapter in the State of Illinois (a California non-profit corporation, operating in Illinois).
Beginning with the establishment of chapters in major cities of the 50 states of the USA, the master plan is to make child care, recreation, therapeutic and counseling services readily available in each community to all disabled or at-risk citizens and their families.
